语言系统描述

研究语言的一种重要方法就是将其记录下来, 并且用系统的方法对该语言的各个方面加以描述。这些描述包括分析语法及篇章、整理语音和研究书写体系等等。SIL 东亚部的语言学者们就他们工作地区中的少数民族语言，从事系统性的描述，有时候，他们所研究的语言甚至是从来没有人描述过的。

Linguistic Description

EAG linguists are engaged in describing the languages spoken by the minority people where they work. Such descriptions include grammatical and text analysis, phonological descriptions and script research. Sometimes their research is the first time anyone has described the language.
