词典编纂

词典是词汇信息的资料库，其中包含了一种语言中丰富的语言学和文化信息。 双语词典不仅有助于少数民族学习国家通用语言，也有助于少数民族熟练掌握自己的民族语言。迄今我们已编纂完成《壮语词典》，白语及瑶语词典的编纂工作也正在进行中。2000年，SIL 东亚部曾在广西南宁举办了「计算机词典编纂研讨会」，2001年在北京与中国社会科学院民族学研究所合作举办了相同的研讨会。

Lexicography

Dictionaries are repositories of lexical data. They preserve all kinds of linguistic and cultural information about a language. They can help minority people learn the national language and improve their skills in their own language. So far our work has resulted in a Zhuang dictionary and work on Yao and Bai dictionaries is in progress. In 2000 EAG ran a lexicography workshop in Nanning, and in 2001 another in Beijing.
