昆明慈善高尔夫球大赛

目的:

支持中国少数民族的双语教育。少数民族的孩子们在学业上不能与讲汉语的孩童相比。这是因为学校所使用的课本和所进行的考试很少关注他们的文化背景。再加上他们不能流畅的运用汉语。双语教育的理念是尊重少数民族的语言和文化。这将带来健康的改善、贫穷的缓解、公民身份的教育并减少性别的不平等。所有的盈利将用来支持少数民族孩童和成人的识字教育项目。

比赛方式:

本次业余高尔夫比赛将在春城高尔夫俱乐部山景球场举行，共计32个队参加比杆对抗赛（每队4位球员），比赛采用18洞同时开球，并按照最佳球位比赛方式进行比赛。同组4位球员轮流开球后确定最佳球位，在所定最佳球位4人轮流击打下一杆，以此类推。个人球道所选击球点不得超过距最佳球位一个杆身长度范围或在果岭不得超过个推杆头长度（不得更靠近球洞）。因此，同组每位球员在每个洞都必须参与击打每一杆，直到推球入洞。一场18洞比赛中，每位球员至少必须有2次开球（禁止由同一位球员开球）。比赛将设立6个队际奖项（2个总杆奖，4个净杆奖）。 净杆成绩将按以下方式计算：小队实际杆数 - （小队4人综合差点x 12%）= 净杆成绩。特别说明：个人参赛申报差点最高值不得超过25。

The Purpose:

To support bilingual education amongst ethnic minorities in China. Minority children suffer academically relative to their Han Chinese counterparts because the textbooks and exams take little account of their different cultural background and their lack of fluency in the national language. Bilingual education supports the principle of respect for minority language and culture. It also results in improved health, poverty alleviation, citizenship teaching, and reduction of gender inequalities. Proceeds will go to support literacy programs for minority children and adults.

Style of Play:

A 32 team (4 participants per team) shotgun scramble amateur golf event will be conducted on the Mountain Course at Spring City Golf and Lake Resort. Each four person team will play best ball style where each player tees off then the team selects the placement of the next shot from the four shots and hits the next shot from within a club length on the fairway or a putter’s head distance on green (no closer to the hole) of the selected previous shot. Therefore each hole will be played by all team participants hitting a shot, hitting the next shot from selected locale, until ball goes into the hole. It will be required that each participant be responsible for at least two tee shots during the 18 hole event. It is planned to have at least six teams (2 gross team scores, 4 net team scores) eligible for trophies. The net score will be derived from the actual score minus 12% of the team’s combined handicap (25 being the max any one participant can utilize in the event).
